OBD programming

OBD programming is the least intrusive method we use to read and write ECU software.

It involves plugging a special interface into the vehicles OBD (On Board Diagnostic) socket.

The interface communicates with the ECU and allows us to copy the manufactures software onto a laptop.

This software is then remapped

The same interface is then used to program the new remapped software into your ECU.

Occasionally it is necessary to plug directly into the ECU itself to allow communication but does not require opening of the ECU case.

This is usually due to the absence of necessary pin connections between the OBD socket and ECU.
